Aditi Balbir is a distinguished figure in sustainable tourism and a proven leader in the hospitality sector. As a UNEP Fellow and winner of the UNWTO Award for Sustainable Tourism, Aditi has significantly impacted the industry with her forward-thinking initiatives. She founded V Resorts, an asset-light hospitality company that emphasises sustainability and local culture integration, growing the company to 120 resorts across India in less than five years.
Her efforts in promoting sustainable tourism practices have earned her recognitions such as CNBC TV18’s Young Business Women Awards in 2017, DWEN and Fortune’s Most Powerful Women-Asia, and inclusion in Business World’s 40 Under 40 in 2018.
Aditi’s career spans notable roles including consulting at McKinsey & Co and successful entrepreneurial ventures, highlighted by raising $10M for a startup and leading it to a strategic exit. She holds an MBA from Fuqua Business School at Duke University, where she graduated in 2009.
